He was born in 1355 in Sari. He has
begun learning music since he was 10, by playing violin with
Hadi Samimi. Participating in school song
and music festival, he could gain first place in his city and province
several times since he was a high school student. He also composed music
for high school theatre groups which result was to gain first place in
his province.
He entered
music faculty in 1374 (1995) and continued studying music with masters
like Prof. Mohammad Taghi Masoudieh, Dr. Amir
Ashraf Ariyanpour, Darioush Talaei, Arshad Tahmasebi, Majid Kiani,
Shahin Farhat, Mohammad Esmaeili, Alireza Mashayekhi, Sharif Lotfi,
Mohammad Reza Darvishi, Mohammad Ali Hadadian
He was simultaneously and
individually improving his Tar playing skills with
Arshad Tahmasebi, also participating
Hossein Alizadeh and Mohammad Reza Lotfi
master classes. During his studying years in Music Faculty he was
playing Tar as a soloist in Modern Orchestra of folk instruments of Iran
conducted by Alireza Mashayekhi. Performing
several Concerts in different cities together with his classmates was
also among his activities. In the field of composing music he could gain
the title of the best composer in Fajr theater festival for Bar
Khane Haft Khan play, which was performed in City theater,
Sanglaj auditorium and Avini auditorium of Tehran University for 2
months in 1378 (1999).
The title of
his paper was Modulation in Rast Panjgahin
which Arshad Tahmasebi helped him as his
guiding master.
In 1379(2000), he, together with his
classmates in a group named Sepideh which
had been formed during their studying, participated and performed in
World Music Festival in Pakistan.
In Day
1379 (January 2000), he began to construct the
first internet website specifically for Iranian (Persian) music
(www.persianartmusic.com),
which has a lot of visitors now.
He has formed a group of Tar and
Setar students who are all his students since 1383 (2004), which has
performed some concerts since then. This group is now becoming ready for
a concert in next summer.
In Aban
1386 (November 2007), he completed the recording of a CD (Multimedia) for
teaching Tar and Setar.
He is teaching playing Tar and Setar
now.
